PROVISION OF EXTERNAL LEGAL ADVICE

Within the scope of these Terms and Conditions, we wish to inform you that if you require legal advice, you may contact us directly. We can facilitate arrangements for legal advice outside of Self Legal by either instructing our consultant solicitors or providing a referral if the matter falls outside of our expertise.

Please note that any choice to proceed with legal advice from our consultant solicitors or a referred third party will be at your discretion and responsibility. Self Legal shall not be liable for any decisions made or actions taken by you based on the advice received from these external sources. It is your responsibility to ensure that the legal services provided by our consultant solicitors or any referred third party meet your specific needs and requirements.

Should we refer your matter to one of our trusted partner law firms, we want to be transparent about our business practices and inform you that Self Legal may receive a commission or referral fee from the law firm for the referral.

This referral does not increase the cost of the services provided to you by the law firm, nor does it affect our commitment to acting in your best interests at all times. Our decision to refer your matter to a particular law firm is based solely on our professional judgment regarding the firm's ability to competently address your legal needs and is not influenced by the existence of a commission or referral arrangement.

We ensure that all referrals are made with your consent and in accordance with our regulatory obligations, prioritising your best interests and the quality of legal representation you receive. By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility that we may receive a commission or referral fee in the event we refer your matter to an external law firm.
